Bengaluru: The Garden City woke up at 06:35 AM and the Sun is expected to set at 6:29 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025. The weather department has predicted that light rainfall in some parts of Karnataka for coming days.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the residents of the city will experience average temperatures between 22 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected between 21 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Residents experienced heat in February

The weather department said that in February 2025, Bengaluru recorded unseasonably high temperatures, reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius, which is atypical for this time of year. Usually, the rise in temperature begins in March, shortly after the festival of Maha Shivratri. However, this year, residents of the city experienced the impact of a heatwave from the end of January. Today, the humidity is expected to be around 65 per cent, and the wind is expected to blow steadily from the Southeast at 11 km/h.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 64, which indicates good air quality in the city and its adjoining areas. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report for the next five days on X and wrote, “Scattered showers today in interior districts. Dry air is likely in north interior districts and hot air in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts of Coastal Karnataka.”

Weather forecast for March 3

The IMD predicts partly cloudy skies for Monday, March 3, 2025. The minimum and maximum temperatures will likely hover around 21 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius respectively. The humidity is predicted to be around 56 per cent and the wind is expected to blow steadily from the East at 14 km/h.
