Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted lower temperatures in the city and other cities in Karnataka for the upcoming two to three days. Numerous regions in Karnataka are also expected to experience foggy mornings on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

The city is expected to have cool weather as the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 15 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, January is the coldest month of the winter season, during which the average minimum temperature is around 16 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level is expected to range around 56 per cent. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the East at a speed of 10 km/h, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 137, which indicates moderate air quality in the city and its adjoining areas.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature is likely to be 2 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal in numerous regions of southern interior districts including Chikkamagluru, Hassan, Davanagere, and Mandya, the minimum temperature is likely to be 2 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal.

According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), Dry air is likely to prevail over the state, and moderate and dense fog is likely to occur in the interior districts in the morning. Uttara Kannada in Coastal Karnataka, North inland Belgaum, Bidar, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, and Haveri, among others.
