Navi Mumbai: In a significant environmental effort, citizens and volunteers are rallying to support the Navi Mumbai Forest Department in securing DPS Lake as a Conservation Reserve.

The initiative aims to gather 1,000 physical signatures before submission to forest authorities by 11 AM by Monday. The campaign calls on all Navi Mumbai residents to participate by signing the petition and spreading awareness.

Volunteers leading the initiative include Rekha Sankhla, Shikha Singh, Sandeep Sareen, Priyanka Gupta, and Anjali Agarwal. Citizens can reach out to them directly to contribute to the cause.

“This conservation push highlights growing civic engagement in preserving urban lakes and ecosystems. With time running out, organizers urge widespread community participation to make a lasting impact,” said the organisor.
