Gudi Padwa and Mumbai’s processions go hand in hand. On March 30, citizen’s of Girgaon stepped out in traditional outfits to celebrate the beginning of the Maharashtrian New Year
They performed traditional art that is done in circular motion and is called ‘Ringan’
Kids, teenagers and even senior citizens participate in these processions and showcase their talents
Women dominated bike rally’s are a spectacle. People form across the city come to witness this
The festival marks the Maharashtrian New Year, and Gudis are hoisted outside homes and carried in the procession as a symbol of victory and prosperity
Groups perform the Lezim dance, a traditional folk dance with rhythmic movements and small cymbal-like instruments, bringing vibrancy to the procession
