Several media portals erroneously reported that Shruti Narayan’s alleged adult video had leaked, confusing her with Tamil TV actress Shruthi Narayanan.
Addressing the misidentification, Shruti Narayan wrote on her official Instagram account, “I am Shruti Narayann, a Mumbai-based model/actor, who has acted in Citadel: Honey Bunny. Some media outlets have been using my image and profile in a story about a Tamil serial actress whose adult video has gone viral.”
She added, “Media should do a minimum level of diligence on whom they are reporting, and not drag unrelated people into controversies.”
In the caption, she tagged the media portal who carried the wrong news and asked them to rectify.

On March 27, Shruthi Narayanan made her first Instagram post since the controversy began but disabled the comments section. She also posted an Instagram reel demonstrating AI’s ability to create deepfake clones, further fuelling discussions about the video’s legitimacy.
Initially, Shruthi Narayanan had set her Instagram account to private, limiting access to only 40,000 followers, but has since made it public again. She continues to be active on social media, sharing photos and videos with her followers.
