Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Upset over prolonged illness, a retired employee ended his life by hanging himself in his home under Govindpura police station limits on Monday.

As per reports, a resident of a colony near Chetak Bridge, Babulal Batham (61) was retired from Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation. On Monday, Babulal locked himself in his room on the second floor of his house and hanged himself to death.

His kin managed to break open the door and brought him down from the noose. Babulal was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. His kin informed police that Babulal was suffering from a respiratory disease and was in depression over his prolonged illness.

His kin claimed that upset over the issue, Babulal committed suicide. Police officials said that further investigations will be carried out after receiving the post-mortem report.

Youth ends life

In another incident, a 36 year old man identified as Pawan Banskar committed suicide by hanging himself in his house at Runaha village under Nazirabad police station on Monday. No suicide note was found at the spot and police officials said that further investigations were being carried out.
