Megastar Chiranjeevi slammed unauthorised paid fan meetings in the United Kingdom and warned his fans against exploitation. Taking to his official social media account after being honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the British government, Chiranjeevi stated that he never supports paid fan meetings.

On Thursday (March 20), the veteran actor clarified that some individuals were allegedly charging fees for interactions with him and. Condemning the practice, he assured that any such fees collected would be refunded immediately.

In his post, Chiranjeevi expressed gratitude for his fans’ love but made it clear that their bond should not be monetised.

“My Dear Fans, I am deeply touched by all your love and affection in wanting to meet me in the UK. However, I’ve been informed that some individuals are attempting to charge a fee for the fan meetings. I strongly condemn this behaviour. Any fee collected by anyone will be refunded immediately. Please be cautious and know that I will NEVER support these actions, anywhere,” he wrote.

Chiranjeevi added, “The bond of love and affection we share is priceless. It cannot be commercialised by anyone in any manner. Let’s keep our interactions genuine and free from any kind of exploitation.”

Chiranjeevi makes history with UK Lifetime Achievement Award

The controversy surrounding the paid fan meetings emerged just as Chiranjeevi made history by becoming the first Indian celebrity to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the British government.

The honour was conferred at a prestigious ceremony at the UK Parliament’s House of Commons in London on March 19, attended by notable Labour Party MPs, including Navendu Mishra, Sojan Joseph, and Bob Blackman.

Following the recognition, Chiranjeevi shared a heartfelt post on social media and expressed gratitude for the international honour.

“Heart filled with gratitude for the honour at the House of Commons – UK Parliament by so many Esteemed Members of Parliament, Ministers & Under Secretaries, Diplomats. Humbled by their kind words. Heartened by the Lifetime Achievement Award by Team Bridge India,” he penned.

He further thanked his fans, family, film industry colleagues, and well-wishers, stating that this recognition inspires him to continue his journey with renewed passion.
