IMD Predicts Mumbai’s Weather Conditions

Mumbai is expected to experience continued cold nights with daytime temperatures staying consistent. Weather specialists and officials from IMD anticipate that as the season advances, the northern winds will persist in causing cold spells throughout the state, leading to an increase in chilly nights.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Mumbai will experience minimum temperatures between 15-16°C until November 30. Following that, there is a possibility of the temperature reaching 22-23°C by December 4.

The IMD has provided some relief to Mumbaikars by stating that there will be no major increase in daytime temperatures in the upcoming days. There will be little change in the maximum temperatures, remaining between 32-33°C for the next week.

Today, the air quality index (AQI) in Mumbai is 110, showing moderate levels of air pollution in the city. The current AQI recorded today is lower than it has been in recent weeks. Lowest Temperature Recorded

The city awakened to a cold Friday morning, with temperatures dropping to the season’s lowest point. The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Santacruz weather observatory recorded the lowest temperature of the season on November 29, with temperatures hitting 16.5°C. This is the lowest November temperature since 2016, when Santacruz recorded 16.3°C, but not the all-time lowest. On November 19, 1950, the station had already documented a chilly temperature of 13.3°C.
