Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Addressed Event In Khargone

Khargone (Madhya Pradesh): Public welfare initiatives of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai, established 300 years ago, continue to inspire contemporary governance, encouraging current leaders to follow her exemplary model of good governance for societal benefit, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said in Maheshwar on Monday.

‘Rashtra Samartha Devi Ahilya Ki Punya Gatha’ was staged, celebrating the 300th birth anniversary of Punyashloka Ahilyadevi Holkar. The event highlighted pivotal contributions of Ahilya Bai.

In his address, the CM noted her efforts in preserving Sanatan culture during challenging times stating, ‘She built Somnath, Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirling and established river ghats across the country.’

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh General Secretary Dattatreya Hosbole and Union Minister of state Savitri Thakur. Yadav praised Vishwa Mangalya Sabha for staging the meaningful drama, which aligns with the celebration of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilya Bai. In his remarks, Hosbole noted the importance of the play in inspiring citizens to contribute positively to nation-building.

Hosbole also honoured her temple renovations and highlighted the legacy of powerful women rulers like Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi and Rani Durgavati.
