Bhaepal, 2 October (HS). Today is the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2 October 1904. The whole country is remembering him on this occasion. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has also paid humble tribute to both the great personalities by remembering them.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav posted on social media X and while paying tribute to Bapu on his birth anniversary, he wrote, I pay my deepest respects to the devotee of Gram Swaraj, the great leader of the Indian freedom movement, the ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. Bapu paved the path of truth, service and non-violence for the welfare of hum.ty. He made a unique contribution to the independence of the country through movements like Quit India Movement, Champaran Movement, Dandi Salt Satyagraha etc. This country will always remember their struggles and will draw inspiration from them. Hearty greetings to all the people of the state on ‘International Day of Non-Violence’. Let us take a pledge to always follow non-violence for the establishment of peace.
