Raipur: In Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces have carried out major action against Naxalites. Security forces have surrounded senior Naxalite commanders in Abuzhamar. The operation was run by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) of four districts – Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Kondagaon. So far more than 26 Naxalites have been reported killed in this operation. There was a major encounter between security forces and Naxalites in the wild area.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that more than 26 Naxalites have been killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in the border areas of Naxal-affected Narayanpur-Bijapur district. An encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites in Naxal -affected Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials said that an encounter between security forces and Naxalites is going on in Abujhmad area of the district.

Superintendent of Police of Narayanpur district Prabhat Kumar said that on the basis of the presence of Naxalites in the Maad section of Abujhmad area of the district, the joint party of District Reserve Guard (DRG) Narayanpur, DRG Dantewada, DRG Bijapur and DRG Kondagaon was sent to the anti -Naxal operations.
Many big names included in the slain Naxalites
Security forces killed more than 26 Naxalites in Abujhmad forest in Narayanpur district on Wednesday morning. So far, the bodies and weapons of 20 Maoists have been recovered. The slain Naxalites also include senior cadre Naxalites. There is a clash on the border of Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur districts.

Police had received information that Basav Raju, a member of the Naxalite Polit Bureau and the general secretary of the Naxalite organization, is in a boat in Raju Abuja. He has a reward of Rs 1.5 crore. However, it is not yet clear whether Raju was killed in the encounter or not. State Home Minister Vijay Sharma has informed about this encounter. According to him, a soldier was injured in the shootout. His condition is out of danger.
Security forces launched a major anti-Naxal campaign called ‘Black Forest’ on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border and around the Kareguttalu hills. This major action has been taken in less than a month. A total of 214 Naxalite hideouts and bunkers have been destroyed in this campaign. A total of 450 IEDs, 818 BGL shells, 899 codes, detonators and huge explosives were seized during the search operation. Apart from this, about 12 thousand kilograms of food grains have also been seized.
