Encounter is going on between Naxalites and security forces for the last 36 hours in Gariaband, Chhattisgarh. A total of 14 Naxalites have been killed so far. Apart from this, a large quantity of weapons have also been recovered. It is being told that since yesterday morning, an encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites on Bhaludighi hill of Kulhadighat.

 

14 Naxalites were killed

During the search operation conducted after the encounter yesterday, bodies of two Naxalites were recovered, one of which is a woman. This morning the soldiers recovered the bodies of 12 Naxalites. Several automatic weapons were also recovered from the incident site. Search operation is going on to find the soldiers. According to sources, among the killed Naxalites is Odisha state Naxalite chief Jairam alias Chalapathi, who had a bounty of Rs 1 crore on his head. There is news of CCM Manoj and Guddu also being killed in this encounter.

Clash between Naxalite-Javayu

It is being told that a security personnel was also injured during the encounter, who has been airlifted to Raipur. In this joint operation (Odisha-Chhattisgarh Security Force), about 1 thousand soldiers surrounded the Naxalites on the border of both the states.

According to the information, a total of 10 teams of Chhattisgarh and Odisha security forces are conducting joint operations against Naxalites. There is a possibility of more bodies of Naxalites being found during the search. The bodies of the killed Naxalites are currently being identified.

There was information about the presence of a large number of Naxalites in the Kulhari Ghat forest on the border of Odisha and Chhattisgarh. After receiving this information, Odisha and Chhattisgarh police together launched a joint operation against the Naxalites on January 19. The security forces have conducted the biggest operation ever against Naxalites in the dense forests of Kulhadi Ghat Reserve Forest.
