Raipur: After the arrival of State in-charge Nitin Navin, BJP will announce the name of its new president, one BJP spokesperson said. It might be announced on January 17. State in-charge Nitin Navin is coming to Raipur on January 16. While the election in-charge and national general secretary Vinod Tawde is visiting the next day. The new state president will be announced after a meeting on the same day, the BJP leader said.

As per the information received, the final publication of the voter list for civic and panchayat elections will be executed on January 18. Therefore, the dates of the election will also be announced, he said.

In such a situation, civic and panchayat elections will be held under the leadership of the new state president. BJP is preparing to nominate a full-time president in Chhattisgarh, he indicated.

Notably, the names of senior leaders for the state BJP president will be finalized on the very day. If Kiran Singhdev is not repeated, then Dharamlal Kaushik, Shivratan Sharma, Vikram Usendi and Narayan Chandel can be made the state president, the sources said.

Meanwhile, there are chances that a senior leader from the OBC category might be made incharge of the new state president.

These days BJP has entered in election mode and in such circumstances BJP is not ready to throw any loose ball as one Minister portfolio is vacant and it is affecting the functioning of the state. It has been speculated that Kiran Singh Deo might be made a minister in the Sai government rule.

Notably, Singh Deo has been in active politics for 30 years. He was the president of the Yuva Morcha and has also been the mayor of Jagdalpur between 2009 and 14 and has become an MLA for the first time. Despite this, the party has given him a big responsibility by making him the state president.
