News India Live, Digital Desk: Chhattisgarh Bharatmala: The Durg-Raipur-Arrang Expressway is being constructed rapidly under the Bharatmala Project in Chhattisgarh. This expressway will be about 92 km long, which will start from Durg and go to Naya Raipur and Arang via Anjora, Pataora, Supakona, Abhanpur. This project is being developed with the aim of strengthening the state’s road system and giving better traffic connectivity to rural and industrial areas.

Land acquisition boom

For this project, land has been acquired from about 2,330 farmers in Durg, Raipur and Balodabazar districts. The district administration claims that the affected farmers have been given proper and timely compensation. Efforts have been made to make this process transparent so that farmers do not face any problem.

Land procurement process continues in the fort

Collector of Durg district Abhijeet Singh said that the work of Bharatmala project is going on continuously. The registry process of the land has been resumed after the farmers get compensation for the land. The National Highways Authority of Authority (NHAI) said that construction has started after completion of the acquisition in some villages. In the villages where the acquisition has been completed, the ban on the purchase and sale of lands has been lifted.

New opportunities for development and employment

The construction of this expressway will reduce travel time and traffic pressure between Raipur and Durg. New opportunities for trade, investment and employment will arise at the local level. With the formation of better road networks in rural areas, it will be easy to bring agricultural products to the mandis, which will speed up regional development.
