Chhattisgarh Loktantra Senani Samman Vidheyak-2025 was passed in absence of the opposition Congress MLAs on the last day of the budget session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, on Friday.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai tabled the Chhattisgarh Loktantra Senani Samman Vidheyak-2025 in the House.
Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Charan Das Mahant raised the objection over the discussion of the Chhattisgarh Loktantra Senani Samman Vidheyak-2025 in the House. Dr Mahant said that the Bill was not discussed and passed in the House.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the Bill is related to social area and so the law could be made under the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India.
The Chair rejected the objection of the Congress MLAs and allowed the discussion on the bill. After rejection of the objection, Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Charan Das Mahant said that the Chhattisgarh Loktantra Senani Samman Vidheyak-2025 was tabled in the House by misguiding the officers and so the Congress MLAs boycott the discussion.
The Congress MLAs staged a walkout of the House. BJP MLAs Amar Agrawal, Rajesh Munat and Dharamlal Kaushik participated in the discussion.
