Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s Export Potential Highlighted at FIEO-CMIA Course Inauguration |
“The engineering industries in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the Marathwada region hold immense potential for exports. Special efforts are being made to develop export-driven industries in the region,” said Nandkishor Kagliwal, a member of the Managing Committee of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) and Founder Chairman of Nath Group.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a two-day certificate course organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) – Western Region and the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA), which jointly organized the course titled “Establishing & Growing Your Export Business” on December 12-13, 2024, at Bajaj Bhavan, CMIA Hall, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Kagliwal hinted at the possibility of launching a full-time educational course on export opportunities in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar through a joint initiative of FIEO and CMIA. He further emphasized that the investment of ₹1 lakh crore, facilitated through CMIA’s efforts, will lead to a second industrial revolution in the region.
CMIA President Arpit Save Emphasizes Youth’s Role
CMIA President Arpit Save mentioned that the responsibility of enhancing exports from the region has been entrusted to the younger generation. He stated that efforts are being prioritized this year to boost exports from the region.
Currently, industrial groups in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar contribute ₹40,000 crore annually to the government treasury in the form of taxes. With the development of export-oriented industries, this figure is expected to increase significantly. Save expressed CMIA’s goal of placing Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar among the top 20 cities in the country for exports.
Rishikesh Jaju, Head of the CMIA Trade Facilitation Cell, emphasized the need for initiatives such as B2B conferences, consolidated industrial data, and awareness programs on exports for the city in the near future.
Export expert Vinayak Temgire provided comprehensive guidance on the export process, explaining aspects like understanding current business scenarios, selecting target markets, fulfilling export documentation, and calculating export costs. He also shared in-depth insights into the Foreign Trade Policy 2023.
On the second day, sessions focused on building and strengthening business relationships in international markets, finding new buyers, verifying them, and establishing effective communication with global clients.
Representatives of over 60 companies participated in the event.
