Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar To Get Center Of Excellence For EV Sector, IT Park And Skill Development Initiatives Announced |

“In order to boost the IT sector in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and support the upcoming large-scale investments in the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector, a Center of Excellence focused on the EV sector will soon be established here by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI),” announced the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, Sanket Bhondve. He was speaking at an industry/startup interaction program organized by STPI on Saturday.

Bhondve mentioned that STPI, with the support of the Maharashtra State Government, will establish an IT park spanning 50 acres in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Additionally, initiatives for skill development and advanced technology will be undertaken with the support of educational institutions like NIELIT and industrial organizations like CMIA, MASSIA, and MAGIC.

An MoU was signed between STPI and CMIA, MAGIC, and MASSIA to assist STPI’s local initiatives. These organizations will act as nodal institutions for future expansions and projects under this agreement.

Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs Vallari Gaikwad, Director of Maharashtra and Goa Ajay Srivastava, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) official Ashish Garde, Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) President Arpit Save, Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) President Chetan Raut, Joint Managing Director, MSEDCL Rahul Gupta, and others were present.
