Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat Unveils Plans For District’s Development At Republic Day Event |

“Several development works are being done in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. We have resolved to take Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to the apex in the state, for which the participation of each section of society is needed,” appealed district guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat. He was speaking during the main official function of Republic Day held at the Deogiri Ground of the police commissionerate on Sunday. Shirsat hoisted the national flag on the occasion.

Leader of the opposition of the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, MP Sandipan Bhumre, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, former MP Chandrakant Khaire, divisional commissioner Dilip Gawade, special IGP Virendra Mishra, municipal commissioner G Srikanth, district collector Dilip Swami, ZP CEO Vikas Meena, Smart City CEO Jagdish Miniyar, Commissioner of police Praveen Pawar, SP Dr. Vinjaykumar Rathod, additional commissioner Dr. Arvind Lokhande, and others were present.

After flag hoisting, the police band played the national anthem and paid a guard of honour to the national flag. The band also presented the state song. A parade was held to pay a guard of honour to the guardian minister.

Shirsat further said, the government is committed to keeping all sections of society united and working for their welfare. The government has launched several welfare schemes and they are being implemented through the government machinery. It is being observed that the benefit of the schemes reaches the grassroots level. A district plan worth Rs 1,200 crore has been prepared this year and, as the guardian minister, I will see that it is implemented scrupulously, Shirsat said.

The district has historic heritage, and provision has been made for the development of Ajanta and Ellora caves. Everyone has the responsibility to take the district to the apex, for which everyone should work wholeheartedly.

The work of the water supply scheme will be completed, and efforts are being made that the city should get ample water from April onwards, Shirsat added.

Various eminent personalities from various sectors were felicitated on the occasion of the Republic Day function. Divisional commissioner Dilip Gawade and district collector Dilip Swami were felicitated for the collection of Flag fund. Similarly, the President’s medal recipients special IGP Virendra Mishra, ASI Eknath Gaikwad, Tukaram Avhal, Jeevan Raksha medal recipients PSI Nazir Nasir Shaikh, constable Dadasaheb Govind Pawar were felicitated. Other recipients of various awards including Sandeep Kale, Syed Naviddodin, Sanjeev Shinde, Sarla Deshmukh, Sunita Padme, Ramkrushna Bargal, Sangeeta Jadhav, Dr. Sumayya Syed, Shaikh Salik, Rambhau Khandagale, Varsha Deshmukh, Kalindi Jadhav, Dr. Sonam Davhale, Shriram Chavan, Siddharth Dandge, Uttam Chavan, and others were also felicitated.

Freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, senior citizens, and others were present in large numbers.
