The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the revised dates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 cycle. The exam will now be held between January 3 and January 16, 2025. Candidates who have registered for the exam can check the subject-wise schedule available on the official website.

Revised Exam Schedule for UGC NET December 2024

According to the official notice released on the UGC NET website, the exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects. The exam will take place in two shifts daily:

Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Shift 2: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The schedule specifies that the exams will be conducted from January 3, 2025, to January 16, 2025, for candidates aspiring to qualify for various positions, including:

Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor.

Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. programs.

Admission to Ph.D. programs only.
