April 2025 Calendar: April 2025 is an important month for students taking some of India’s most competitive entrance examinations, such as JEE, NDA, NEET-MDS, UPSC, etc. These exams serve as a worldwide gateway to admissions in premier institutes and define a person’s career in engineering, medicine, defence, civil services, and much more.
JEE Mains Examination
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main examination will begin on April 2 and will cover the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam is highly competitive with approximately 9 lakh students expected to take it with the results to come out on April 17. Those students who will qualify for JEE Mains can then apply for JEE Advanced registrations which will start from April 17 for examinations to be conducted on May 18. Results for JEE Advanced will be released in June.
NDA 1 Exam
The National Defence Academy (NDA) 1 Exam will be held on April 13 for the aspirants of the armed forces. Nearly 7 lakh candidates are likely to appear for the examination which will consist of Mathematics, General Ability and Science. UPSC Common Defence Services Combined (CDS) 1 Exam, also on April 13, candidates have to appear for the English, General Knowledge and Mathematics examination, whose results are likely to be declared in September.
Civil Services Preliminary Exam
The CSE or Civil Services Preliminary Exam is scheduled for April 17 and conducted by UPSC. It is the first step for aspirants who want to apply for prestigious posts in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other government services. Under 2.85 lakh applicants will sit for the test, whose results are tentatively due by the end of April.
CBSE examination 2025
The CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations for students are still going on and will be concluded on April 4. About 40 lakh students are likely to participate and the result is expected to be declared between May 10-15.
NEET MDS Exam
The NEET MDS Exam will be held on April 19 for medical aspirants seeking admission to postgraduate dental programs. The exam is based on medical science and approximately 25,000 candidates will be competing for 3500 seats in Master of Dental Surgery programs.
BITSAT
BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is another significant examination. The registration process starts on April 18, and the examination will take place in two phases — April 26-30 and May 22-26.
