The number of online base-based registrations for Chardham Yatra has crossed 10 lakhs. Of these, the maximum number of 3.29 lakh pilgrims have registered for Kedarnath Dham. 40 percent registrations will be done offline after the journey starts.
Tremendous enthusiasm for Chardham
The tourism department has started online registration for the Chardham Yatra running from 30 April to 20 March. In 10 days, more than 10 lakh pilgrims have registered for pilgrimage on different dates. Baba Kedarnath’s doors are opening on May 2. While the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on May 4. The yatra will begin on 30 April with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
How many registrations have been done so far?
- More than 3.29 lakh devotees have registered for Kedarnath Dham.
- 3.02 lakh devotees have registered for Badrinath Dham.
- 1.85 lakh devotees have registered for Gangotri.
- More than 1.79 lakh devotees have registered for Yamunotri Dham.
When has offline registration available?
The important thing is that this time 60 percent registration is being done online for the convenience of devotees. While 40 percent registration will be offline after the journey starts. For this, registration centers will be opened on the journey route including Haridwar and Rishikesh.
