In recent times, the phase of speculation and rhetoric has intensified in the politics of Bihar. There is a stir in the political corridors after RJD MLA Bhai Virendra offered alliance to Nitish Kumar. At the same time, the statements and clarifications of BJP leaders have given further edge to this debate. Amidst all this, the sharp statement of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has further increased the political temperature.
Tejashwi Yadav’s strong reply
In an interview with a leading TV channel, when Tejashwi Yadav was asked that if Nitish Kumar wanted to join RJD, would he be ready to forgive him and run the government? On this Tejashwi said in clear words,
“Now the question does not arise. He is tired and is no longer in a position to run Bihar. Coming with them would be like hitting an ax in your foot.”
This statement of Tejashwi made it clear that the possibility of any possible alliance between RJD and JDU is dead at the moment.
Nitish Kumar’s reaction
Responding to RJD’s offer, Nitish Kumar had already made it clear that now he is in no mood to repeat any mistake. During Pragati Yatra in Sitamarhi he said,
“We will contribute to the development of Bihar and the country by staying with NDA.”
This statement indicates that Nitish Kumar has now made his political direction clear and has completely rejected RJD’s proposal.
Brother Virendra’s statement created a stir
RJD MLA Bhai Virendra had made Nitish Kumar the center of discussion in political circles by inviting him to join the alliance. He said,
“If Nitish Kumar leaves the communal forces, we will welcome him.”
His statement had given a new direction to politics, but after the statements of Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav, this issue seems to be cooling down.
Tejashwi’s big allegation on Nitish
On Saturday, Tejashwi Yadav fiercely targeted Nitish Kumar. He alleged that,
“Nitish Kumar is now incapable of running Bihar. Four leaders of his party are hijacking him. Among these, two leaders are from Delhi and two from Bihar. Nitish Kumar has now become just a face.”
These allegations of Tejashwi have created a stir in politics.
JDU’s counterattack
JDU spokesperson Naval Sharma gave a strong reaction to Tejashwi Yadav’s allegations. He said,
“The allegation of the Leader of Opposition is ridiculous. The way Lalu Yadav and his family have marginalized their leaders and caused mental suffering to Lalu ji, they themselves are under the scanner. Making such allegations is part of their strategy to divert attention from the real issues.”
