Adhikamas or Malmas is starting from 18th July Tuesday. Adhikamas is also called Purushottam month because its master is Lord Sri Hari himself. Purushottam month has special importance in Hinduism. The mantra ‘ૐ Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ should be chanted 108 times in the morning and evening.

There is a law to consume rice, barley, sesame, banana, milk, curd, cumin, salt, cucumber, wheat, bathua, peas, betel nut, jackfruit, fenugreek etc. in this month. Food and charity should be given to Brahmins, poor and needy in this month.

Donation of lamp has special significance in Adhikamas. Along with this, the flag should also be donated once in this month. There is no fault in charity work, social and religious work, partnership work, tree plantation, service work etc. during this period.
