If you travel on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, then this news related to the Kherkidola toll plaza is very important for you. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has implemented new toll rates at this toll plaza, which will be effective from midnight of 31 March.
Relief for small vehicles, journey of big vehicles became expensive
The biggest relief in this change is that there has been no increase in toll tax for small vehicles like car, jeep and vans. But the trip on large and commercial vehicles has been increased by Rs 5 per trip. That is, if a vehicle passes through the plaza once, then it will have to pay 5 rupees more than before. In such a situation, if you both do and go in a day, then an additional 10 rupees will have to be paid in total.
24 -hour rule does not apply here
A special feature of Kherkidaula toll plaza is that there is no toll discount on return in 24 hours here. Like other toll plazas, no concession is given on return here. This means that even if a vehicle returns during the day itself, he has to give full toll both times. This is the reason why this change becomes more important for the drivers.
Movement of more than 60 thousand vehicles daily
About 50 to 60 thousand vehicles pass through the Kherkidaula toll plaza daily. Most of these vehicles are traveling between Manesar, Delhi and Gurugram. In such a situation, a slight change in the toll rate can also affect millions of passengers.
