Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Institutional Services Board has made changes in the educational qualification and designation to fill the vacancies of direct recruitment in District Cooperative Banks. Under the new guidelines, all district cooperative banks have been asked to send vacancies for online requisition through e-requisition portal.

Minimum qualification changed for category three posts

  1. Designation:
    • Manager, Junior Manager, and other category three posts.
  2. Minimum Educational Qualification:
    • At least 55% marks in graduation (earlier it was 45%).
    • Graduation with any one of the subjects Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics is mandatory.
  3. technical ability:
    • ‘O’ level in Computer is mandatory.
    • B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, Banking Finance, BBA in HR, or PGDM holders in MBA-HR can also apply.

Changed qualifications for class IV posts

  1. Designation:
    • Assistant Cashier, Assistant Typist, Assistant Stenographer, Banking Assistant.
  2. Educational qualification:
    • At least 55% marks in graduation.
    • CCC certificate in computer mandatory.
  3. Minimum Qualification for Class IV:
    • For the post of Assistant, Driver, Guard, 5th to 10th pass.
    • For the post of guard, two years of gun driving experience is required and for the driver post, two years of driving experience is required.

Important changes and objectives

  • Upgradation of Qualification Standards:
    By increasing the educational qualification, better and qualified candidates can be selected.
  • Digital Process:
    The online process has been made fast and transparent through the e-procurement portal.
  • Technical Efficiency:
    Preference has been given to candidates having proficiency in computer and technical subjects.
