New Year has come. Some rules are going to change from today. The most important rule among these is regarding UPI. Which is to be changed from January 1, 2025. Which will affect UPI users. RBI has decided to change the transaction limits of UPI, in view of which the UPI limit of 123p is being doubled.

UPI 123Pay transaction limit increased

After this decision of the Reserve Bank of India, now users will be able to transact up to Rs 10,000 using UPI 123Pay. However, earlier the transaction limit was only Rs 5000. It was decided to implement the new rules of UPI 123 pay service from January 1, 2025. The important thing is that UPI 123Pay is a facility under which you can make payment through UPI even without internet.

payment without internet

Due to non-internet payment, its limit was very low, due to which users with feature phones faced difficulty in making payment. But now this decision of RBI will be convenient. Let us tell you that RBI keeps announcing new rules regarding money transactions from time to time and makes every possible effort to control such transactions.

4 crore feature users

  • The important thing is that in UPI 123pay every user is given 4 options as payment options. This includes the use of IVR numbers, missed calls, OEM-embedded apps, and voice-based technologies.
  • Feature phone users can do UPI transactions through IVR number.
  • Users will have to call IVR numbers- 080-45163666, 08045163581 and 6366200200. After this UPI verification will have to be done. After this the payment will be completed after completing the instructions given on the call.
  • There are currently 4 crore feature phone users in India. In such a situation, these users are going to get great facilities.

When was this UPI service launched?

To increase the number of UPI users and connect more people with digital transactions, the UPI 123 Pay feature was launched in March 2022.

It is believed that UPI payment is spreading rapidly in small towns and villages of India. In such a situation, RBI has doubled the UPI payment limit. Now UPI has been launched in many other countries including Sri Lanka.
