Higher and Technical Education Minister of Maharashtra, and Kothrud MLA Chandrakant Patil has taken aggressive steps to curb the issues of roads, traffic and water supply in the Kothrud jurisdiction on Monday. He also said that such issues will not be tolerated in Kothrud anymore.
During a meeting at his residence on Monday, he directed officials to prepare a report comparing the current situation with the ideal scenario. In the meeting, he discussed road conditions, water supply, and traffic congestion in Kothrud.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner of the Property Department Mahesh Patil, head of the Water Department of the pune municipal Corporation (PMC) Nand Kumar Jagtap, and other officials and local party workers.
Patil highlighted that areas like Sutardara, Kishkindha Nagar, and Kalewadi are located on elevated terrain, making water supply difficult during summer. For such places, water storage tanks should be installed in key residential areas with the help of public participation and the PMC.
Additionally, he also directed the dedicated department to take action against encroachments at DP Road near Paranjape School and adjacent to Chandani Chowk Highway. The authorities need to prepare a detailed report on all major concerns within the constituency with proper solutions.
