The Umargam Industries Association (UIA), an industry association of Umargam in Valsad district and on the border of Gujarat and Maharashtra, has organized the Umargam Industrial Expo-2024 to make Umargam GIDC the pride of Gujarat and to give a different identity to the products manufactured in the GIDC here at the global level. The three-day expo was inaugurated on Saturday by the state’s Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai. On the occasion of the inauguration of the expo, many dignitaries including all the industrialists of Umargam, Sarigam and Vapi VIA President Satish Bhai Patel were present. On this occasion, UIA President Naresh Banthia said that the products manufactured by the industries of Umargam GIDC are known in the country and abroad.
On this occasion, Dilip Chunilal Chandan of Chandan Steel donated Rs. 11 crore for the hospital project under construction by UIA. While Sanjay Shah of Society Tea (Amar Tea) also announced a donation of Rs. 1 crore 11 lakh and presented a cheque of the donation amount to UIA at the hands of the Finance Minister. Thus, after the establishment of Umargam GIDC in 1967, the hard work of the UIA team has been successful in this historic expo organized by UIA, receiving a total of more than Rs. 12 crore as donations. The entire UIA team has worked hard for this expo and everyone showered their best wishes.
In this first ever three-day Umargam Industrial Expo organized by Umargam Industrial Association, approximately 40+ industries booked 160 stalls and displayed their products and machinery, various parts, various spices, stationery in the exhibition stalls.
The program was attended by Umargam MLA Ramanlal Patkar, Valsad District Panchayat President Manharbhai Patel, Dharampur MLA Arvindbhai Patel, Valsad District Collector Naimesh Dave, Umargam Industrial Association President Nareshbhai Banthia, UIA’s Ashish Shah, Tahir Vohra, Vipul Panchal, Vapi Industrial Association President Satish Patel, members of Umargam and Vapi Industrial Associations, industrialists and a large number of people who visited the expo. The vote of thanks was given by Bhagwan Bharwad.
