Chain Snatcher Attacks Woman During Morning Walk, Woman Fights Miscreant But Loses Gold Chain | FPJ
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A miscreant attacked a woman and snatched her gold chain while she was on a morning walk with her friend in Kanadiya area on Tuesday.
The women fought with the snatcher for a few minutes and tried to raise alarm but the snatcher’s accomplice arrived on a bike and both miscreants managed to flee. According to the Kanadiya police station staff, the incident took place in the Sanchar Nagar area between 6.30 and 6.40 am.
Urvashi Sharma, a resident of Sanchar Nagar Extension, lodged a complaint that she and her friend Bhawna Mandloi were on morning walk when a man came from behind and snatched her gold chain weighing about 15 gram.
A case has been registered against the accused
Urvashi and her friend caught the man and fought with him for a few minutes but the accused managed to flee. A case has been registered and the CCTV camera footage is being examined to identify the accused. Police were clueless about the chain snatchers till the filing of the report.
Urvashi informed the Free Press that when the accused put his hands on her neck, she caught him while her friend Bhawna grabbed his hoodie. They fought and she slapped the accused who also attacked and kicked them.
Meanwhile, a biker was seen and Bhawna cried for help as she was not aware that the biker was the accomplice of the chain snatcher. The goon managed to snatch her gold chain and fled with his accomplice on the bike. Urvashi received scratches on her neck while trying to save her gold chain.
The women chased the miscreants for a few metres but in vain, Later, Urvashi informed her family and the police on Dial-100. She said that the police reached the spot within 10 minutes and searched for the accused but in vain.
