Yuzvendra chahal-dhanashree verma divorce: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree are divorced. After staying away from each other for about two and a half years, the two have finally separated. Rumors of divorce of both of them had been going on for a long time, after which both of them filed a divorce application in a family court in Bandra. Now on Thursday (March 20), the Family Court has approved the appeal for divorce of both. With this, their marriage broke up within 4 years and 3 months.
Married 4 years ago
Chahal and Dhanashree were married on 24 December 2020. However, three or four months ago, their relationship began to sour. The two later unfollowed each other on Instagram. Rumors were flying since then, but last month it was confirmed that divorce proceedings had started. For this, both appealed in the Bandra Family Court. Both also sought a 6-month cooling-off period, which was rejected by the court.
Chahal will give Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree.
The cricketer later appealed to the Bombay High Court and the court ordered the Family Court to settle the case by 20 March, while delivering his verdict on Wednesday 19 March. The High Court exempted both of both from the cooling-off period. He said, because we have been living separately for the last two and a half years. Chahal had agreed to pay Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree in lieu of this divorce, out of which the cricketer has already given 50 percent before and now Dhanashree will get the rest.
