Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway, conducted a detailed safety inspection of the Manmad-Daund section on Pune Division on January 03, 2025.

The inspection commenced with a High Speed Run on the Yeola-Kopargaon section. Further the General Manager inspected Curve no. 141 on UP direction at kms 456/427 to 455/707 and LHS on the Kopargaon-Kanhegaon section followed by detailed inspection of the Godavari Bridge no 439/1 at 439/3-7 kms between Kanhegaon and Puntamba stations. 

At Puntamba station, an important junction for Shirdi bound trains, the General Manager inspected the Lobby, Running Room, ASM Panel Room, Relay Room and Electronic Interlocking installation. He also inspected the Small Track Machines and Ultrasonic Flaw Detection machines as part of the Innovations on Display. RPF dog squad Chetak and Vardhan provided a display of their narcotics detection capacities being used successfully inbthe field.

Shri Meena also inspected Over Head Equipment Gang and the fully equipped Gang Hut. 

Further the General Manager inspected the Road Under Bridge no 56 at kms 430/33-31 on the Puntamba-Chitali section in details with details to ensure regular maintenance of height gauges to ensure the safety of bridges, trains and passengers followed by inspection of Level Crossing (LC) no 51 at kms 420/3-1on the Chitali-Belapur section and Interlocking of LC. 

A High Speed Run reaching upto 130kmph on the Belapur-Padhegaon section was conducted followed by inspection of Traction Sub Station and newly commissioned 10 KWP Solar Plant at Padhegaon. 

The General Manager inspected the Mula bridge no 390/1 at kms 390/22-14 on the Rahuri-Vambori section and the LC no 30 at kms 360/10-12 on the Vilad-Nimbalk section. 

At Ahmednagar station the General Manager  inspected the Running room, Crew lobby.

Shri Meena also interacted with Hon’ble MP Shri Nilesh Lanke and assured a positive resolution of various local issues brought forward by Hon’ble MP.

This was followed by a High Speed run between Belvandi and Shrigonda Road stations. 

Shri Meena also remotely operationalised  the 418.56 KWP Solar Plant at Routine Over Haul(ROH)  Shed at Daund and the Sahyadri Club auditorium.

The General Manager  inspected the on going works under the Amrit Station Scheme at Ahmednagar station and advised to complete passenger amenities related works on priority.

The General Manager also interacted with other public representatives at various locations and held discussions with union representatives to address various concerns.

He also engaged with ground-level staff throughout the inspection, emphasising the importance of safe train operations and operational efficiency.

 Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division, Principal Head of Departments and Senior Officers from Headquarters and Pune Division accompanied during the inspection.
