Central Railway Extends Special Trains to Ease Summer Travel Across Maharashtra | Representational Image
In view of the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the summer holiday season, Central Railway has announced the extension of several special trains, most of which connect key cities and districts across Maharashtra. The move aims to ease travel difficulties for passengers, especially given the scarcity of confirmed tickets during peak vacation months.
According to railway officials, the extension of these trains will help accommodate the increased demand and provide much-needed relief to commuters traveling across the state.
Extended Special Trains:
Train No. 01435 (Solapur–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Weekly Special): Previously scheduled to operate till April 29, 2025, now extended up to June 24, 2025 (8 trips).
Train No. 01436 (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Solapur Weekly Special): Extended from April 30 to June 25, 2025 (8 trips).
Unreserved Special Trains Extended
Train No. 01461/01462 (Solapur–Daund–Solapur)
Train No. 01465/01466 (Solapur–Kalaburagi Junction–Solapur)
Train No. 01024/01023 (Kolhapur–Pune–Kolhapur)
Train No. 01211/01212 (Badnera Junction–Nashik Road–Badnera Junction)
Train No. 01487/01488 (Pune–Harangul–Pune)
Train No. 01091 (Khandwa Junction–Sanawad):
Train No. 01092 (Sanawad–Khandwa Junction):
There will be no change in the timings or halts of these services during the extended period.
Reservation Details: Bookings for extended trips of Train Nos. 01435, 01436, 01024, 01023, 01487, and 01488 on special charges open on April 30, 2025, at all computerized reservation centers and on the official IRCTC website: www.irctc.co.in.
