Central Railway has announced the implementation of integrated special traffic and power blocks involving both UP and Down slow and fast lines, as well as the 5th and 6th lines on the CSMT-Kalyan and Kalyan-Karjat sections.
The blocks will take place on 21/22 December 2024 (Saturday/Sunday midnight) and 22/23 December 2024 (Sunday/Monday midnight) to facilitate essential infrastructure work.
During this period suburban services between Thane and Kalyan will not be available and several other local trains will be cancelled or short terminated.
According to CR , on Saturday, 21 December 2024, the CSMT-Titwala local departing CSMT at 11:16 pm will run up to Kasara. The CSMT-Titwala local departing CSMT at 11:42 pm will be short-terminated at Thane.
Additionally, on Saturday, 21 December, the CSMT-Badlapur local departing CSMT at 11:51 pm, the Badlapur-CSMT local departing Badlapur at 9:58 pm, the Ambarnath-CSMT local departing Ambarnath at 10:15 pm, and the Titwala-Thane local departing Titwala at 11:14 PM will be canceled.
Similarly, on 22 December, the CSMT-Asangaon local arriving at Asangaon at 8:07 am will short-originate from Kalyan. The Titwala-CSMT local arriving at CSMT at 5:40 am will short-originate from Thane.
Additionally on 22 December Ambarnath – CSMT local departing Ambarnath at 00:02 am, 05:16 am, and 05:40 am, CSMT -Kasara, departing CSMT at 00:08 am, CSMT – Karjat, departing CSMT at 00:12 am, Ambarnath – CSMT, departing Ambarnath at 03:43 am and 04:08 am, Karjat – CSMT, departing Karjat at 02:30 am and 03:35 am and Kalyan to CSMT, departing Kalyan at 04:39 am will be cancelled.
“The last local before the block for the southeast direction will be the CSMT-Karjat local departing CSMT at 11:30 PM. The last local before the block for the northeast direction will be the CSMT-Titwala local departing CSMT at 11:16 PM” said an official of CR adding that several mail express trains will be also affected due to this block. “All 6th line Mail/Express trains except Train no 11020 will run on UP fast line between Kalyan & Diva stations” he said.
Passengers are requested to plan their travel accordingly and be prepared for potential disruptions due to the ongoing work during these time frames.

Construction of a 12-meter wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Ulhasnagar,
Development of an ROB in lieu of the Level Crossing (LC) Gate between Kalyan and Ambarnath..
Erection of a 6-meter wide FOB at Neral.
