The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted a paper for class 12th on 24 February 2025. The exam ran from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. There was no exam for class 10 students on this day.

The appearance and pattern of the exam

CBSE is conducting board examinations for about 44 lakh students in more than 8,000 schools in India and abroad this year. Class 12 geography paper was designed to test students’ understanding and application skills. The paper included the following types of questions:

  • Part a – Original element of human geography
  • Part B – India: People and Economy
  • Question Type-MCQ, Small-North and Long-Old Questions

Students’ response

Pranjal Rai and Mamta, students of Vidya Gyan School in Sitapur, described the examination as fair and managing. He said that regular practice and preparation increased confidence and the examination was well done.

Opinion of experts

Akhilesh Mishra, PGT Geography (Vidya Gyan School, Sitapur) said that the paper was well structured and had a balanced difficulty level with HOTS questions. This examined the thematic understanding and analytical abilities of the students.
