In the case of the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the CBI has completed its investigation and has filed a closure report. The investigating agency could not find any kind of disturbance in the case, as his family suspected. According to officials associated with the case, a clean chit has been given to Riya Chakraborty and his family in the report.

CBI confirmed suicide

On 14 June 2020, the body of Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from a fan in his apartment in Mumbai. Initially it was believed to be a case of suicide, but later the possibility of murder was also feared, which led to the investigation of the case to the CBI. Now after about five years, the investigating agency concluded that the actor had killed himself and no evidence of any kind of conspiracy was found.

Now the court will decide

The CBI has submitted its report to the special court of Mumbai, where it will now be decided whether the report should be accepted or further ordered. The investigating agency took the case from the Bihar police, because Sushant’s father K.K. Singh, in a complaint lodged in Patna, accused Riya Chakraborty and his family of provoking suicide and rigging money.

Forensic report also rejected the possibility of conspiracy

The forensic report of AIIMS submitted to the CBI also rejected any claim of poisoning or strangling. In the postmortem report, the cause of Sushant’s death was said to be suffering.

Riya Chakraborty gets a clean chit

The CBI had long interrogated Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and his close people. In the complaint given to the Bihar Police, Sushant’s father alleged that Riya and her family embezzled Sushant’s money. However, Riya denied these allegations and later no basis of these allegations was found in the CBI report.

Bollywood career and memorable movies

Sushant Singh Rajput started his career with the TV show “Kis Desh Hai Mera Dil” and gained popularity with “Pritha Rishta”. He then stepped into Bollywood and performed brilliantly in films like “Kai Po Che”, “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, “Shuddh Desi Romance”, “Kedarnath”, “Chichhore”. His biggest success came from playing the lead role in Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic. His last film “Dil Poor Damar” was released after his death.
