We feed bread to cows, grasses to cows and seeds to birds. Mostly there is some intersection or road somewhere. There we publicly feed birds and animals. But from now on, if you are seen feeding animals and birds in public places, then you can be fined. Let’s know where this rule came from and how much will be the penalty?
Under the new rule, a fine of Rs 200 to 500 will be imposed for feeding birds and stray animals in the roadside or public places. The purpose of this decision is to prevent roadside garbage and prevent traffic from obstructing traffic. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules. This rule has been implemented in the capital Delhi.
Rules apply to some important places
If you are feeding pigeons and other animals in Delhi’s roads, intersections and public places, then you need to be careful now. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has made strict rules in this regard. However, MCD has implemented this rule in some important places. The rule has been implemented near Tibetan Bazaar, Idgah Quartet at Kashmiri Gate and crematorium on Panchkuiya Road. The MCD has also removed all the illegal shopkeepers selling birds on government land. Apart from this, all places have been cleaned and information boards have been installed. It is clearly written on this board that feeding birds and animals is prohibited.
Otherwise a fine will be imposed.
SP City Vandana Rao said that the municipal teams have increased monitoring in identified places. If a person is caught feeding birds or animals on the roadside, his vehicle number will be recorded. After this, the vehicle owner will be detected with the help of the traffic police and the challan will be sent to his house. He has said that in the beginning people are being made aware, but strict action will be taken if the rules are broken again and again.
Target to continue traffic smoothly
Officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi say that this decision has been taken with the aim of keeping the roads clean and smooth traffic. In many places, the roads become dirty due to the food of birds and stray animals accumulate there, which blocks the traffic. The MCD has appealed to the people to feed birds and animals at the designated places instead of throwing food on the roadside. Officials have made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who break the rules. Excess fine can also be imposed on repeated violations.
