The Common Admission Test (CAT) provisional answer key challenge window will close today, December 5, 2024, at 11:55 PM. Candidates can raise objections by visiting the official website at iimcat.ac.in and paying the required fee.
To access the answer key, candidates will need their registration numbers and passwords. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) will review the answer key, and the final answer key and results will be announced based on the objections received.
In terms of the marking scheme, candidates will earn three points for each correct answer, while one point will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Note that negative marking only applies to multiple-choice questions. Candidates can utilize the answer key and the marking scheme to calculate their estimated scores.
IIM CAT Answer Key: Steps to Raise an Objection
1. Visit the official CAT website – iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the candidate login link on the homepage.
3. Locate the Answer Key link.
4. Click the link to open the answer key in PDF format on your screen.
5. Download and save the document.
6. To raise an objection, select the question you wish to contest.
7. Upload any supporting documents and pay the required fee.
8. Submit your objections and download the confirmation page for your records.
The IIM CAT examination was held on November 24, 2024, in three sessions. The first session took place from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, the second from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and the third from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
According to media reports, 89% of registered candidates participated in the exam. Out of 329,000 candidates who registered, 293,000 took the examination.
The CAT exam is designed for applicants seeking admission to esteemed postgraduate and doctoral programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and several other participating institutions. A total of 1,164 MBA colleges in India accept CAT results for admission, including 138 government or public universities and 1,026 private institutions.
