Navi Mumbai: A case has been filed against 10 to 15 CISF jawans at Kharghar police station for assaulting a doctor nd his family in a road rage. The incident happened on Friday night following which a FIR was registered with Kharghar police. The CISF jawans too have given a written complaint to Kharghar police which is yet to be registered.
On the night of the incident, Dr. Shrinath Parab was traveling in his Innova car with his elder brother Prasad Parab, his wife Sharvari Parab, 11 month old niece and friend Jayesh Visave. They were returning to Kharghar from Vashi and were driving through Kharghar Sector-12 when, a CISF bus, carrying jawans to Taloja after finishing their duty, was also passing by.
Dr Parab has said in his complaint that the bus allegedly squeezed against Parab’s car from the right side, forcing him to pull over. When Parab confronted the bus driver, three to four CISF jawans from the bus got down and allegedly began abusing and assaulting Parab.
When Parab’s brother intervened to help, the jawans allegedly pushed him aside and assaulted him as well. They also damaged the rear window of their car. After the assault, the CISF jawans left the bus and drove away. Dr. Parab and his brother sustained injuries and sought treatment at the hospital before filing a complaint at the Kharghar police station.
Based on the complaint, Kharghar police have filed a case of assault and rioting against 10 to 15 CISF jawans, and the investigation has begun.
Meanwhile, CISF jawans also filed a written complaint against Dr. Parab at Kharghar police station, alleging that Parab had abused them and instigated the fight. They have requested that a case be filed against him as well. Senior Police Inspector Deepak Surve stated that the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made in this case yet.
