New Delhi: Generation-Next Star Janhvi Kapoor made the most spectacular start on Cannes’s Red Carpet. She came wearing a custom-maid tissue skirt and corset by Tarun Tahiliani (TT) prepared from real tissue woven in Banaras. The signature came with TT Drape, which was styled by Riya Kapoor. She came and won the hearts of fans with her first look, who compared her beauty to the late mother and the first female superstar of Indian cinema – Sridevi.
Janhvi Kapoor will give a glimpse of Sridevi in Cannes 2025
Fashion Critic page Diet Sabya has shared a video of Janhvi, in which the caption read: “Janhvi looks like mother Sridevi for her first Cannes Red carpet look”. Many people have commented on this post. One person wrote: This is like Sridevi, the other said: This veil is everything.
Janhvi Kapoor has also shared this look on her Instagram handle. One user commented: I am your crazy and I am not able to believe that you look like Shri Devi here! What is great
Sridevi was known for her traditional look in front of the camera and outside the camera. Most of his costumes in films immediately became popular and fans preferred the way he handled his decency and glory.
Janhvi Kapoor designed by Tarun Tahiliani for her Cannes debut
Famous designer Tarun Tahiliani wrote on social media: The dress of Janhvi Kapoor (@janhvikapoor) has hand -woven real tissue skirts and corsets, which is specially prepared in Banaras. The surface is alive with hand -crushed technology that provides depth and texture, while the signature TT drape adds a touch of the liquidity of the sculpture. Raw, untouched hem remains untouched – a deliberate praise for the authenticity of weaving. Styled: @rheakapoor #tt #taruntahiliani
