Madhya Pradesh: Calls To MPBSE Helpline Double After Class 10, 12 Results; Numbers Up From 700 To 1500 Per Day |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The number of calls to MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) Helpline has almost doubled since the announcement of results of Class 10 and 12 examinations conducted by the Board.
The Helpline was getting around 700 calls every day till before the announcement of results. After the results, the number of calls has jumped to around 1,500 a day.
Students are mainly asking about the second examination. The Helpline is also receiving calls regarding career options and competitive exams.
Students who have cleared or failed Class 10 and 12 examinations are mainly asking questions regarding the second examination including the last date and process for applying, date of exam, results and marksheets, exam centres etc.
They are also asking whether failed students can also take the exam and if yes, then in how many subjects, whether Best of Five scheme was still operational and how to prepare for the second exam etc.
Students who have cleared Class 12 examination are mainly asking about career options available to them including which competitive examinations they can take.
According to one of the counsellors of the Helpline Hina Qazi, the number of calls has increased after the announcement of results of Class 10 and 12 examinations.
‘We are informing students about the second examination which is being organised by MPBSE for the first time under New Education Policy (NEP) -2020. Besides students who have failed in one or more subjects, those who want to improve their marks can also take the second exam.’
The helpline is open from 8 am to 8 pm seven days a week including holidays. In all, 18 counsellors are available in three shifts of six hours each to answer queries of students.
