New Delhi: The ED has arrested businessman Dinesh Arora late on Thursday night in connection with Delhi’s Excise Policy. He is accused of money laundering. ED has called him close to former Delhi Deputy CM M.sh Sisodia. Dinesh Arora is also missing in the CBI case in this matter. Darshan ED and CBI both are probing this case.

According to news agency PTI, according to the ED’s FIR, Arora had met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal regarding the excise policy. Also he was working closely with AAP leader Vijay Nair. Vijay Nair has already been arrested by the ED. Presently he is in judicial custody. Dinesh Aruna is a big businessman of Delhi and is also associated with restaurant.

ED has already questioned Dinesh regarding money laundering, according to sources, this time he was evasive with his answer. And were not supporting the investigating agency, the ED told that they will be presented in the local court on Friday. The ED had mentioned in its supplementary charge sheet filed in May that Dinesh is special to Sisodia. He used to take money to another businessman Amit Arora and send it to Sisodia. He had bribed about two crore rupees to Sisodia to benefit Amit and change the liquor policy.

M.sh Sisodia has simultaneously filed a bail application in the Supreme Court on Thursday in the cases of ED and CBI regarding Delhi Liquor Policy. Two days back, the Delhi High Court had rejected Sisodia’s bail plea in the ED case.

According to the CBI, Dinesh is a prominent Delhi-based businessman and a well-known name in the restaurant industry. Dinesh is associated with this industry since 2009. According to media reports, in 2009, he opened his first cafe in Delhi’s Hauz Khas area.

According to Dinesh’s Instagram profile, he is the Managing Director of Cheeka Delhi, Unplugged Courtyard and Larocca Aerocity. In addition, he is a director of Radha Industries and a committee member of the National Restaurant Association of India. In July 2018, he also started Eastman Color Restaurant Private Limited Company.
