Manmohan Singh, who served as the Indian Prime Minister for two terms, from 2004-2014 passed away on late on December 26.

The former PM also served in other significant positions, including the positions of finance minister and RBI governor. Ever since the emergence of this tragic news, reactions have poured in from sides, across disciplines.
India Inc., and the shepherds of the business world in the country joined the country as it mourned and paid tribute to the late leader.
Mahindra Group chair, Anand Mahindra, known for his active presence reacted and paid tribute to Singh’s passing. On his official X account, he added, “Farewell, Dr. Manmohan Singh. You loved this nation. And your service to it will long be remembered. Om Shanti 🙏🏽”
RPG group’s Harsh Goenka also shared his thoughts on the microblogging website. In his post, Goenka said, “India mourns the loss of Dr. Manmohan Singh, a true statesman whose quiet demeanour belied his transformative impact.”
Goenka underscored his demeanour, which was renowned for being quiet and humble.
In his post, he further added, ” An architect of economic reforms, he shaped modern India with intellect, grace, and integrity. A leader who let actions speak louder than words. #RIP”.
Singh was at the forefront of the much-needed economic transformation, that the country underwent in the 1990s.
Former Infosys CFO and major opinion leader in the business realm, Mohandas Pai also joined in the tributes.
Pai shared Salman Kurshid’s post on the former leader. In addition, in his own post, he added to the line of tribute, and said, “Former PM Manmohan Singh passes away at 92. A great Indian. A person who with PM Narasimha Rao liberalized India, gentle, soft-spoken and compassionate. We will miss his wisdom. Om shanti!”
Jindal Group’s Naveen Jindal, who was once a part of the Congress party, and even served as a MP for the party under Manmohan Singh.
Jindal in a long post, paying tribute to Manmohan Singh said, “Deeply saddened by the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. #ManmohanSingh Ji. His visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to India’s progress have left an indelible mark on our nation.”
Reminiscing his time under Singh, Jindal further added, “Serving under his guidance was a privilege that I will always cherish. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Dr Manmohan Singh’s funeral will be held on December 28.
