A report published in the local news media in South Korea, citing sources of these services, said that in the first quarter of 2025 alone, officials of these services seized 29.5 billion vowans or about $ 20.7 million in such illegal exports. For example, Chinese electrodes used in the production of rechargeable batteries have been exported to the US in this way. Similarly, monitoring camera parts are also exported. After the Chinese companies discovered this misconduct, the Korean Customs officials said that it raises questions on Korea’s credibility in the global market and also threatens domestic products, as domestic products are also seen with suspicion. Therefore, the Korean Customs Department has formed a special team to prevent such irregularities and tighten them. It is noteworthy that talks are currently going on between South Korea and America on tariffs and trade deals and recently a South Korean delegation visited the US with the same purpose.
