SDRF has been pressed into the rescue and salvage work following bus accident in Uttarakhand’s Bhimtal area | ANI
Uttarakhand bus accident: State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was pressed into action for rescue after a bus with 20 to 25 passengers on board fell in a 100 metre-deep ditch in the state’s Bhimtal area.
“Today, on 25 December 2024, information was received from the District Control Room, Nainital that a roadways bus has crashed near Bhimtal, on which the rescue teams of SDRF have left for the spot from Post Nainital and Khairna,” SSP Nainital Prahlad Meena said as reported by news agency ANI.
As per initial reports, the bus was a state transport bus and was travelling from Bhimtal to Haldwani.
