The burnt body of a 24-year-old youth, Anil, was found in his car in East Delhi’s Ghazipur area. This incident happened when Anil was returning to his home in Nawada village of Noida after distributing invitation cards for his wedding.

On Saturday night, police received three PCR calls at 11:03 pm, 11:07 pm and 11:13 pm respectively. In these calls, information was given about fire near Ghazipur area. When the police reached the spot, they saw a burning Maruti Wagon R car. Anil’s burnt body was found inside the car.

Accusation of murder under conspiracy

“Our team at the spot found that the car was completely burnt, and the person in the car was identified as Anil,” the senior police officer said. After this, Anil’s elder brother made two more calls alleging that the death was the result of some conspiracy.

Anil’s family said that he had left home on Saturday afternoon to distribute wedding invitations but did not return till late night. When the family tried to contact him, his phone was found switched off. At around 11:30 pm, the police informed the family about Anil’s death.

Connection of love affair and family dispute

The victim’s family told the police that Anil was having an affair with a distant relative. But the girl’s father was strictly against this relationship. It was also suggested that Anil died due to this dispute.

Girl’s marriage at the time of incident

On the day of the incident, the girl’s wedding was taking place in a nearby banquet hall. Anil was also present there. According to the police, the girl’s father had made three PCR calls before the incident, in which he talked about a fight with Anil and his family.

Attempt to save from car and statement of eyewitnesses

Eyewitnesses present at the spot said that people broke the windows of the car to save Anil, but by then it was too late.

After conducting the post-mortem of Anil, the police handed over the body to the family. Officials said that investigation is going on from every angle of the incident.
