Bulldozer action on Noori Jama Masjid Fatehpur: Yogi government of UP has taken major action against illegal construction. This morning, the administration ran a bulldozer on the 180-year-old Noori Jama Masjid located in Lalauli, which was a victim of encroachment due to road widening. The encroached portion was demolished amid heavy police deployment. Forces from many police stations including ASP, ADM, RAF, PAC are deployed at the spot.
Mosque committee asked for one month’s time to remove encroachment
Let us tell you that on September 24, PWD had launched an encroachment campaign to widen the road. Meanwhile, people associated with the mosque committee themselves asked for one month’s time to remove the encroachment. But despite the expiry of the stipulated time, the encroachment was not removed. Meanwhile, the side of the Mosque Committee reached the High Court. The High Court had fixed the date of hearing on December 13, but before that the administration has started the process of demolishing the encroached part of the mosque.
Heavy police force has been deployed at the incident site
ASP Vijay Shankar Mishra said, ‘The encroached portion is being removed. Two bulldozers have been used to demolish a part of the mosque. Heavy police force was deployed at the spot, but the entire demolition process was carried out peacefully.
