The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is also now seen on the path of ‘bulldozer action’. Action has been intensified against drug mafia in the state. The latest case has come to light from Patiala, where an illegal house of a drug smuggler Rinki was demolished.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched a war against drugs in the state and it is reported that he is going to hold an important meeting on the subject with police officers on Friday.

Bulldozer ran at drug smuggler Rinke’s house in Patiala

According to the report of Tribune India, the Punjab government dropped the house of Drug smuggler Rinki in Rori Kod Mohalla, Lakkad Mandi, Patiala.

Rinki has more than 10 FIRs under the NDPS Act between 2016 and 2023.
He had been a headache for the police for a long time and had survived arrest several times.
Bulldozers were run on his illegal property led by SSP Nanak Singh.

Police officials said that Rinke’s house was built with drugs earned from drugs, and there are many drug addicts around it. A heavy police force was deployed before action due to security reasons.

Illegal house of drug addicts also dropped in Rupnagar

In Rupnagar, the district administration and police, while taking joint action, also demolished the illegal house of drug smuggler Salim Mohammad and his wife Asha.

In Patiala itself, the first bulldozers have been run on the houses of two more drug smugglers named Sonu and Rahul Hans.

The police is now speeding up the process of attaching the properties of drug mafia.

Impact of ‘Bulldozer Action’ in Punjab?

This action against drug mafia in Punjab is taking place on the lines of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, where illegal properties of criminals are demolished by bulldozers.

Will ‘bulldozer action’ end the problem of drugs in Punjab?
Will Bhagwant Maan Sarkar also use it as an election agenda?
Will such action be seen in other districts now?
