While Karan Johar suggested other names including Siddharth Malhotra for the junior officer. But while playing the role of Godfather in the career of children of many of his acquaintances, Salman insisted on launching Shera’s son. Karan Johar argued that it was risky to launch a budding Abir in an important role in such an important project. But Salman Khan did not agree.
