Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has vowed to come back stronger after recently going under the knife due to injury. The 23-year-old limped off against Crystal Palace following which it emerged that he would be out for at least two months with a hamstring injury. Taking to social media Saka wrote,”The majority see obstacles, but few see the opportunities. Recovery has begun and I’m coming back stronger!Thank you all for your messages”.

Arteta on Saka’s injury

Mikel Arteta while speaking on Saka’s injury said, “He has had a procedure and everything went well, but unfortunately he will be out for many, many weeks. It will be more than two months. I don’t know exactly how much longer. It will depend on how the scar tissue starts to heal, the first week or so, and the mobility of that. It is very difficult to say.”

He further added, “The replacement of Bukayo is going to be the team. There were moments where it flowed well tonight and moments where you could see there is still work to do. But I am certain that we are going to do that. We have to rely on the team and not the individual.”

What’s next for Arsenal after Saka’s injury?

In the final fixture of 2024, Arsenal beat Ipswich Town by solitary goal scored by Kai Havertz. Gabriel, Havertz and Martin Odegaard all spurned chances to increase Arsenal’s lead in the second period. The victory takes them back to within six points of leaders Liverpool. Arsenal will next be in action against Brentford on New Year’s Day.
