Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The raids on the official and residential premises of the builders indicate that the latter had links with former constable of the Transport Department, Saurabh Sharma. Although the raids by the Special Police Establishment (SPE) and I-T sleuths were just a coincidence, it came to light that the builders and Sharma were linked with each other.

One of the builders, whose premises were raided, became close to Sharma who was investing the carrots he made from the check posts of the Transport Department in properties. Because Sharma was investing money in properties, he befriended the builders.

According to sources, Sharma bought properties through this builder. The relationship between Sharma and this man came to light from the documents seized from the builders during the raids.

Sharma was trying to turn his sweetener into white by investing it in properties. After turning black money into white, Sharma was investing it in properties.

According to sources, Sharma made several deals in properties outside Bhopal. Sources further said that Sharma was planning to open a school and a hotel. He was in touch with this builder to set up a hotel.

Transactions were done through Hawala

Saurabh Sharma, who was extorting money from check posts, was also associated with Hawala racket. His relationship with a man who was involved in Hawala racket also came to light.

A huge amount of money was sent to various people through this man. In the complaint, the name of the man who was involved in Hawala racket was also mentioned, but the SPE of Lokayukta kept away from taking action in this connection.
